Aureus Mining chief on Ebola-free Liberia and upcoming first gold pour

Published on 11th May 2015

David Reading, chief executive of Aureus Mining (LON:AUE), says the fact Liberia has been declared Ebola-free by the World Health Organisation (WHO) is the key headline for the company.

It comes as the company revealed the Leopard Rock and Ndablama deposits have been included within the mining licence for Bea Mountain in the West African nation. Reading adds that he hopes the company does not rush into raising cash, reiterating the strategy to reach production and generate revenues.

He adds that the company is currently only worth about half the value of its New Liberty mine, which is eyeing production at the end of the month.
