Recovery expected in Antimony price as fire safety market recovers

Critical Metals Plc chairman Christopher Ecclestone tells Proactive London's Andrew Scott the main use for Antimony is as a hardening alloy for lead.

''Traditionally there's been spikes during times of war where there's a big rise in demand for it for the use in bullets but more recently over the last few decades Antimony has become the main mineral associated with fire retardants''.

''Until fairly recently the Chinese had over 90% of the global supply of both mine supply and then process supply of Antimony ... ''.

''Now the major source of supply of Antimony outside China that's not artisanal is a mine in Australia and even all of the production that comes from there is sold to China as a concentrate''.
