Investor Update: Westminster Group highlights positive Tema negotiations reports

Security Group Westminster’s (LON:WSG) says it’s pleased to note the ongoing discussions between Meridian Port Services and the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority are reportedly making significant progress and are close to being finalised. The security group is working with port operator Meridian Port Services to provide an x-ray-based container screening system at the port of Tema in Ghana. 

Touchstone Exploration (LON:TXP) has reported better than expected gas flows from its  Coho-1 exploration well in Trinidad. Gas flowed at an average of 17.5 mln cubic feet per day over a short test.

Shanta Gold (LON:SHG) has announced 135,000oz of extra reserves and almost 300,000oz to resources from its recent drilling at targets in and around the New Luika mine in Tanzania. One site, Ilunga, had its reserves reduced by 44,000oz due to tighter grade control.

Feedback (LON:FDBK) has begun a pilot study of its Bleepa system at the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. Bleepa allows doctors to access medical grade images through smartphones, tablets and desktops.

Also on the NHS, Genedrive’s (LON:GDR) test for recognising antibiotic induced hearing loss in infants has obtained CE marking. The kit will be the first used in critical care settings to screen babies for a genetic mutation, which if present, can cause lifelong deafness with certain antibiotics. 

Saudi Arabia has valued state oil company Aramco at between US$1.6tn and US$1.7tn in its forthcoming IPO. A prospectus for the offer indicated the company wants to raise at least US$25bn from the sales of 1.5% of its shares.

Sage Group (LON:SGE) has agreed a price of £232mln to sell its payments business to Elavon, part of US Bancorp. Sage will book a profit of £180m from the disposal.
