Full interview: Blackstone Minerals signs MoU with South Korea’s largest electric vehicle battery cathode producer

Blackstone Minerals Ltd (ASX:BSX) managing director Scott Williamson updates Proactive on the company entering into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with South Korea’s largest electric vehicle battery cathode manufacturer, Ecopro BM Co Limited.

The non-binding MoU will see Ecopro BM and Blackstone work in partnership to develop a downstream processing facility in association with Blackstone’s Ta Khoa Nickel Project in northern Vietnam.

The MD said the Ta Khoa project had potential to deliver the critical raw materials required for Ecopro’s cathode manufacturing process and meet the ever-increasing demand for high-nickel content cathodes driven by the increasing electric vehicle demand.
